Inter Campus Debate Competition
JIMS organizes, in the month of February, every year the Inter campus Debate Competition. It is an event that tests not only the communication skills of the students but also assesses the level of awareness of the students on current issues. The winners are awarded trophies and certificates for their performances. Taking it to another level, JIMS also organizes this competition in the same month on All –India level as well, where students from various colleges of India compete with each other in a rare battle of wits. This inter-college competition gives a platform to the students to meet others from Delhi University, IP University-of their own age.
Inter Campus Presentation Competition
The professional of today is required not only to be an effective manager but also an adept speaker. To achieve this aim, the college organizes every year a Presentation competition where students get to express their views on current topics. The competition judges them on the basis of freshness of ideas, amount of research carried out on the topic and the uniqueness of audio –visuals included in the presentation.
Inter Campus Quiz Competition
Held in the month of September every year, the inter campus quiz competition brings together students from all campuses together to answer questions based on business, current affairs, history, geography , science and so on and so forth. The competition is organized to make students understand the importance of general awareness in life.
Inter Campus Summer Training Project Report Presentation
Interface with the industry has always been on top of the priority list of JIMS.The students are made to undergo and 6-week summer internship program in the month of June and July post which they prepare a project report. This experience is shared by them with the college via presentation. The best presentation is then, chosen and the student from the campus sent for the Inter campus project report presentation to one of the JIMS campuses.
Participation in Inter College Competitions
Comquest –an inter college quiz competition , again held in the month of Aug , is a unique platform for students to compete with students of Delhi ,IP and various renowned universities from all over the country. After wading through 6 tough rounds of questioning –the winners are given some highly attractive cash prizes and needless to say certificates. Hosted by the well-known quiz master Aditya Mumbai, the competition is one of the most popular events on the annual activity calendar of the college.
Markathon
Markathon is an inter college marketing fest organized in the month of February every year by the management department of the college to put to test the marketing and management prowess of the students. The fest witnesses participation from colleges across Delhi and is full of activities that require logical and analytical thinking.
Sports
Sports JIMS organizes Intra campus & Inter College Sports meets which covers Cricket, Football, Basketball,Volleyball, Badminton andTableTennis.Sports activities are conducted at DDA Sports Complexes such as - Sri fort Sports Complex or Jasola Sports Complex in South Delhi. The interested teams go through a tough qualifying phase before representing their campuses at the finals. The process of intra campus matches starts in the month of September when the best teams from all courses compete with each other in an intra campus competition; this is followed by the an inter campus competition culminating into the finals on the annual sports day in the same semester. Sports activities bring in a lot of energy, camaraderie- enhancing and strengthening a spirit of team work which shows itself up in the various activities that take place in the latter part of the year.
