JIMS, Noida (DIHE) in association with CII-Yuva Young Indians successfully hosted the first phase of the National Event “Future 4.0” on 3rd Sept 2024. This groundbreaking event focused on two of today's most critical issues: Road Safety and Health. We were honored to have participants from Christ University, Mangalmay Institution, IPEM, and IMS Ghaziabad who brought their insights and innovative ideas to the table.The students’ contributions demonstrated a remarkable depth of understanding and a strong commitment to fostering positive change. JIMS, Noida organized " Aarambh 2024 ", the orientation Ceremony on 2nd September 2024, for its BBA, BCA, BAJMC & B.Com students which was filled with energy, excitement, and endless possibilities.

The Day began with the lamp lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. The event was banged with a motivational speech by Mr. Saurav Sharma, Senior Executive Editor, India TV. His words of wisdom and encouragement resonated deeply with all of us.

The ceremony concluded with a powerful final address by our honourable Chairman, Sir Dr. Amit Gupta, who emphasized the importance of dedication, hard work, and integrity in achieving success.

We're thrilled to embark on this journey with such a vibrant and passionate batch of students. Here's to new beginnings and a fantastic academic year ahead!

"World Photography Day 2024"

On August 21, 2024, the Storyteller Sanctuary Club hosted a photography competition and exhibition to celebrate World Photography Day. Students from BBA, BCA, and BJMC departments enthusiastically participated in the event. Celebrated photographer Nishant Upadhyay, known for his work on BBC and National Geographic, assessed the submissions based on their composition and concept. Ishita Patel and Abhinav from BJMC won the first and second prizes, respectively. All participants received recognition for their contributions with participation certificates. The club congratulates the winners and participants for their outstanding efforts.

JIMS, Noida celebrated 78th Independence Day with vibrant enthusiasm and community spirit. The day began with a flag hoisting ceremony, followed by a moving speech from our director Sir Dr. Rajeev Kumar, highlighting the values of freedom and unity. Students participated in various performances like patriotic songs, Quiz and Poetry.

"Farishtey-Accident First Responder" event on 16th July 2024

Delhi Institute of higher education proudly organised the Emergency Medical Response Program -Farishtey Accident First Responder Event in partnership with YUVA Yi ,Noida and was conducted by the Emergency Medical Research Institute (EMRI), the largest ambulance service provider in Asia. The program aimed to equip students with essential skills and knowledge to effectively respond to emergencies, particularly in the critical Golden Hour following an accident.

Our dedicated participants learned essential skills, including life-saving CPR techniques, effective bleeding control methods, and how to use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) through engaging demonstrations. Additionally, they practiced handling and immobilizing fractures to ensure proper care in emergencies. Thanks to Yuva Young Indians for our students are now equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in critical situations. Together, we’re making our communities safer and more resilient!

Pinnacle of Achievement: Celebrating Excellence

'Pinnacle of Achievement: Celebrating Excellence' was organized at Delhi Institute of Higher Education (JIMS Noida) College on June 29 to felicitate the 200 meritorious 12th passed students from more than 30 schools of Delhi NCR. Zee News Executive Producer and famous news Anchor Pratyush Khare participated in the program as the Guest of Honour. Dr Rajeev Kumar(Director, JIMS Noida) along with the Guest of Honour, felicitated the students for their achievement.

Commemoration of Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti on 7th May, 2024

PRAYATNA-The CSR Club of DIHE JIMS Noida Campus, organised a Special Session on the Occasion of Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti on 7th May 2024. It was his 163rd birth Anniversary. On this day, a short film was shown to faculty, staff and PGDM students to pay tribute to Gurudev, showcasing his achievements and incredible work towards the Nation. The CSR faculty coordinators conducted the event successfully.

Guest lecture on "Demystifying IPR: A Guide for Students"

Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, DIHE Noida, organised a Guest lecture on the topic 'Demystifying IPR: A Guide for Students' on the occasion of Intellectual Property Rights Day. The expert for the lecture was Subhajit Karmakar from Lexpert Consilium.Mr. Subhajit Karmakar shed light on what intellectual property actually is and how it works. Moreover, students got to learn about the framework of the legal aspects of the patent work.

World Earth Day 2024

To embrace the spirit of World Earth Day, PRAYATNA-The CSR Club organised a Plantation drive in DIHE Noida campus followed by Nukkad Natak on spreading awareness , on wet land keeping in mind the Theme of 2024 , which is plastic v/s planet. The CSR Volunteers conducted the event successfully.

Department of IT, DIHE, Noida organized a Webinar on "Introduction to IoT and Data Ingestion with Azure IoT Cloud" on 20th April, 2024. The webinar was taken by Mr. Saravanan Ganesan, Assistant Consultant- IoT, TCS and C# Corner MVP. He discussed that in the rapidly evolving landscape of technology, the Internet of Things (IoT) stands as a transformative force, connecting devices and enabling them to communicate and exchange data seamlessly. IoT revolves around the concept of collecting vast amounts of data from sensors, devices, and systems, and extracting valuable insights from this data to drive informed decision-making and optimize processes. Azure IoT Cloud, Microsoft's comprehensive platform for IoT solutions, plays a pivotal role in this ecosystem by providing robust tools and services for managing, analyzing, and acting upon IoT-generated data.

Sir explained one crucial aspect of IoT implementation is data ingestion – the process of gathering, filtering, and transmitting data from various sources to a centralized platform for further processing and analysis. In this context, Azure IoT Cloud offers powerful capabilities for efficient and scalable data ingestion, empowering organizations to harness the full potential of their IoT deployments and unlock new opportunities for innovation and growth. Students actively participated and asked many relevant questions based on which they were given participation e-certificates. Overall it was an insightful webinar.

Industrial visit to Uniconverge Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Noida on 19th April 2024

The IT Department of DIHE Noida organised an Industrial visit for BCA 4th semester students to Uniconverge Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Noida on 19th April, 2024. The students were guided by Mr. Jitesh Mathur, Branch Manager and Ms. Prabha Singh, HR Manager. The industrial visit proved a remarkable experience for our college students as it offered a profound insight into the field of AI & IOT (Internet of Things) along with the basics about sensors and circuits. BCA Department of DIHE Noida has signed an MOU with C# Corner for the Student Ambassador Program

CSharp is an American company focusing in technology, education, mentorship, career, and startup guidance services to colleges and universities and is the owner of several online properties including C# Corner, one of the largest community of software professionals with 30 million annual users. The MOU focuses on providing hackathons and online training about the latest technologies to the students by experienced industry trainers/mentors and facilitators. Also, C# Corner will provide the necessary technical resources, materials, support, and certifications for the successful execution of the student ambassador program and seminars, conferences, guest lectures, etc.

Industrial visit to Surya Foods Pvt. Ltd. on 10th April 2024

The Management Department of DIHE, Noida organized an Industrial visit for the BBA 2nd semester students to Surya Foods Pvt. Ltd. The industrial visit proved to be a remarkable experience for our college students. Workshop on Corel Draw Software on 16th April, 2024

In a bid to nurture budding talent in the field of digital design, the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at DIHE-JIMS Noida organized a comprehensive workshop on CorelDRAW software on 16.4.2024. The workshop, held on the premises of DIHE-JIMS Noida, welcomed participants eager to delve into the world of graphic design under the expert guidance of seasoned Graphic Designer Yogesh Som. With years of industry experience under his belt, Yogesh led the participants through an immersive journey into the functionalities. Annual Sports Day 2024

Annual Sports Day 2024 was held from 8th April 2024 to 10th April 2024 at DIHE Noida in which Volleyball, Cricket and Badminton were the parts of the event. Cricket and Volleyball tournaments were held on 8th April 2024, Badminton(Men) Tournament was held on 9th April 2024 and Badminton (Women) Tournament was held on 10th April 2024. Certificate and Trophy Distribution Ceremony was held on 15th April 2024. All the Winners were awarded with Certificates and Trophies. All the participants were given Certificates of Participation.

Yuva Sansad on 8th April, 2024

Yuva Sansad, meaning "Youth Parliament" in English, offers a dynamic platform for young minds to engage with the democratic process. “Yuva Sansad” was organized by Storyteller Sanctuary club of JMC department in DIHE-JIMS Noida to ignite the young minds with thoughts for upcoming elections. It served as a great platform to develop leadership qualities, communication skills, and critical thinking alongside like-minded peers.

Students of BCA, DIHE, JIMS Noida participated in a Webinar on "Jumpstart with AI and Web 3.0" on 5th March, 2024. The webinar was taken by Mr. Mahesh Chand, Founder of C# Corner, Founder & CEO of Mindcracker Inc., and an investor, advisor, and board member of several startups and nonprofit foundations. He discussed about AI and Web 3.0 representing two transformative trends in technology that are reshaping the digital landscape and driving innovation across various industries. AI-powered intelligent systems combined with the decentralized, semantic, and user-centric nature of Web 3.0 are expected to revolutionize how we interact with information, services, and each other on the internet. Students actively participated and asked many relevant questions based on which they were given participation e-certificates. Overall it was an insightful webinar.

Value-added Course on "Python" by Department of IT

Department of IT, DIHE, JIMS Noida organized a Value-added Course on "Python" for BCA and PGDM students in collaboration with MCN Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Noida. This technical skills enhancement Training Program on Python started on 2nd March, 2024 and will continue for 30 hours which will enrich students in coding concepts and software development. Students will be exposed to hands-on training by industry experts like Mr. Sumit Bajaj, Senior Software Engineer, MCN Solutions, code hackathon, certifications and project-based assignments so as to flourish in the coding domain and become successful programmers. This training program will prove to be an incredible move in the student's career path.

Guest Lecture on "Brand Management" on 4th March, 2024

DIHE JIMS Noida hosted a Guest Lecture titled " Brand Management" led by Dr. Uttiya Bhattacharjee, ex-Executive Director , Indian Oil Corporations. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from our BBA & BCom students, who found solace and enrichment in this experience. Dr. Bhattacharya guided the participants through a series of different branding concepts, including Brand Positioning, Brand Reinforcement & Brand Value. Throughout the session, the students were engaged in an interactive session. This guest lecture was truly a real-time based experience for our students. We express our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Bhattacharya for sharing his valuable insights on brand management.

Workshop on “Career in Web 3.0 & Blockchain Technology” on 4th March, 2024

“TECHNONAUTS”, the IT club under the Department of IT, DIHE, JIMS Noida organized a Workshop on “Career in Web 3.0 & Blockchain Technology” on 4th March 2024 for BCA 4th Semester students. Dr. Palak Gupta, HOD, BCA gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the workshop topic. The hands-on session was taken by Mr. Shubhankar Banerjee, Blockchain Expert and Corporate Trainer, MCN Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida who demonstrated Blockchain technology and its applications to the students along with differences between Web 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 and how it has revolutionized all sectors. Sir gave an overview of the various career options in the domain of Blockchain and Cryptocurrency. The session was highly appreciated by the students who got an excellent hands-on session and an e-certificate after giving an online test.

ZEST and Celebrity Nite 2024 on 23rd February 2024 and 24th February 2024

"JIMS Group organized ZEST and Celebrity Nite 2024 on 23rd February 2024 and 24th February 2024 in which Mono Act, RJ Hunt, AdMad Show, Extempore Hindi, Extempore English, Theme play, Creative Writing, Face Painting, Painting competitions were held on 23rd February 2024 at JIMS Kalkaji Campus & Solo Singing and Fashion Show Competitions were held at Bharat Mandapam, Prgati Maidan where the best Indian Rapper Mr. Krisna performed on the stage and won the hearts of our students. Students from DIHE-JIMS Noida got first position in RJ Hunt Competition and Extempore Hindi and second position in AdMad Show. Certificates and Medals were distributed by Our Honorable Chairman Sir to the winners. All the participants also got the certificates of participation. All the students really enjoyed the event on both the days."

A2Z Gamification company conducted Internship & Placement Workshop in DIHE Noida campus on 14th Feb, 2024 for BBA, BCA and B.Com-NEP 2nd year students for their summer internship and PPOs. On the occasion of 'World Radio Day', the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a workshop on the topic of Radio Jockeying at DIHE, JIMS, Noida. Famous RJ, Amit Mathur was invited as a special guest and expert in this program. RJ Amit Mathur shared information related to radio to all the students present there. Along with this, he guided students about creating a successful career in the field of radio.

Industrial visit to "UFlex Ltd." on 5th Feb, 2024

BBA Sem IV, 2nd year students of DIHE, JIMS Noida went for Industrial visit on 5th Feb, 2024 to "UFlex Ltd." Industrial trips always help students to enhance their interpersonal, communication skills, and teamwork abilities. With this, they also learnt the entire process of MLP (Multi Layer Packaging) & contribution of UFlex in sustainability. It was an enriching industry interaction for students.

NGO Visit to "Dua Old Age Home" for Republic Day Celebration on 25th January, 2024

PRAYATNA-The CSR Club of DIHE Noida celebrated Republic Day on 25th January, 2024 at Dua Old Age Home, Noida with senior citizens. Various patriotic activities like poetry, singing, sharing the real-life lessons and speech were conducted with them. The CSR volunteers actively participated and revived the feeling of patriotism among all.

JIMS, Noida celebrated Republic Day on January 25, 2024 while hoisting the flag to keep up the spirit of unity, patriotism and camaraderie. The faculty and staff sang the National Anthem with the spirit of social companionship and pledged to abide by the constitution and keep the great heroes forever in our heart who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and protection of our country. Students, HODs and faculty members also gave soulful performances and enjoyed sweets thereafter.

JIMS Annual Faculty & Staff Picnic was organized on Saturday, 23rd December, 2023. The event was coupled with Christmas Carnival and celebrations. It was a cool sunny day which involved the active participation of the HODs, faculty and staff members who enjoyed the day with fun games like Secret Santa, Selfie zone, Talent hunt, Rapid fire, Mr. & Ms. Eve etc. All enjoyed food stalls and fun games at Christmas carnival and wished for a prosperous and happy new year.

“Aptitude is not just about innate abilities; it's a muscle that can be trained and developed over time”. A Workshop was organized on "Importance of Aptitude in Career Enhancement" for the students of BBA,BCA and BAJMC at Delhi Institute of Higher Education, JIMS Noida on 6th December, 2023. The session was taken by Mr.Avinashi Saran,Career Expert. In this interactive session, participants engaged in a series of activities designed to stimulate critical thinking, logical reasoning, and numerical proficiency.The speaker focused on how to sharpen numerical skills through exercises and real-world applications and discussed tips and tricks for quick and accurate calculations.The session was highly engaging and interactive.

Principal Meet 2023

Principal Meet was organised by JIMS Noida on Saturday, 2nd Dec, 2023 on the topic “Youth Empowerment: Nurturing the Next Generation of Leaders”. Famous news anchor Shrivardhan Trivedi ji graced the program as the Chief Guest. On this occasion, Principals of about 30 schools participated and discussed issues and facts about Youth Empowerment. To appreciate their contribution in the field of education, they were honoured by Shrivardhan ji, Dr. Sumit Agarwal, HOD, Management, Dr. Palak Gupta, HOD, IT and Dr. Vijayta Taneja, Programme Coordinator, BAJMC from the college.

Workshop on “MS ACCESS & Spreadsheet” on 29th November, 2023

“TECHNONAUTS”, the IT club of DIHE, JIMS Noida organized a Workshop on “MS Access & Spreadsheet” for BCA & PGDM students on 29th November, 2023. Dr. Palak Gupta, HOD, BCA gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of the workshop topic. The hands-on session was taken by Ms. Anjana Tiwari, Data Analyst, Ducat who demonstrated effective use of MS Access for database handling and report generation. She also discussed the use of Advanced Excel for quick, effective and real time analysis on huge datasets. Features of conditional formatting, pivot analysis, shortcut keys, lookup to advanced formulas were practiced on datasets. The session was highly appreciated by the students who got an excellent hands-on session.

XOOM Mirchi Freshers programme by Radio Mirchi on 28th November, 2023

On the vibrant afternoon of Nov’28, the grounds of Jims College came alive with the energetic buzz of Radio Mirchi's Mr. & Mrs. Freshers event. The theme, resonating with freshness, set the tone for a dynamic and entertaining program. The highlight of the event was the crowning of Miss Diva , MR and MS FRESHER. The talent hunt segment showcased the diverse skills of students, featuring performances ranging from singing to ramp walks and dance routines. The Mr. & Ms. Freshers competition unfolded in two captivating rounds, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. The event wasn't just about crowning winners but also about fostering a sense of camaraderie and talent within the student community.

Amidst the lively atmosphere, various stalls dotted the venue, offering students the chance to engage in games and win enticing prizes. Noteworthy was the stall where cup noodles were distributed for free, serving as a delicious promotional activity that left attendees satisfied. As the event reached its culmination, RJ Manan, a charismatic guest, graced the stage, elevating the entertainment quotient. The program concluded on an adventurous note with a test drive of a Hero Honda scooty, a hands-on experience facilitated by enthusiastic students. The titles of Mr and Ms Freshers were won by Bishal and Apurva whereas Ifra Islam bagged the title of Ms Freshers Diva. Ayush Pandey won a chance to be a Radio Mirchi intern by winning the RJ Talent Hunt.

“Digital Poster Making Competition” by TECHNONAUTS Club on 24th November, 2023

TECHNONAUTS, the IT Club of DIHE, JIMS Noida organized Digital Poster Making Competition for BCA students on the topic “The Power of Social Media and Artificial Intelligence“ on 24th November, 2023. Dr. Palak Gupta, HOD, BCA gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of AI and Social media in today’s scenario for automated decisions, effective data management, social networking and mass reach, though both have their cons too. Students were asked to design their thoughts and ideas on the same using any digital tool which they expressed brilliantly. They also presented their poster and explained their perspectives in designing their posters and their views on AI and Social media as future controllers. The jury were Dr. Palak Gupta, Dr. Manjeet Kaur, Associate Professor and Ms. Rakhi Singh, Assistant Professor. The competition was a booster for students to showcase their skills and talent and was very well appreciated. First position was secured by Rohit Kumar, BCA IInd year, second position by Kunal Gupta, BCA IInd year and third position was tie between Ansh, BCA IInd year and Kashwi Sharma, BCA Ist year. Digital posters of Anshu, Sahili Havaldar and Dhananjai Jha were also well appreciated.

‘Police ki Paathshaala’ on 23rd November, 2023

Storytellers Sanctuary Club (Department of Journalism and Mass Communication), DIHE-JIMS Noida Extension organised an event ‘Police ki Paathshaala’ in association with National newspaper Amar Ujala. DCP Cyber Security Commissionerate, Gautam Buddh Nagar Rambadan Singh addressed the students and made them aware about the helpline numbers which they can utilise in case of any emergency. "Sanskriti Club"-DIHE-JIMS Noida organized a Rangoli Competition on the eve of Diwali Celebrations on 8th November, 2023. Students from all the Departments participated in this Competition. "Dussehra is an Indian festival, which is celebrated for the victory of Lord Rama over Ravan and Dandiya is celebrated in Navratri to give devotion to Maa Durga. DIHE-JIMS Noida celebrated Dussehra with the event of Ramleela and also celebrated Navratri with the event of Dandiya along with some food Stalls. All the students enjoyed the events fully"

Workshop "Art of Documentary Making" by Akhilesh Verma

*Dihe- Jims Noida*- Department of Journalism & Mass Communication has organised a workshop "Art of Documentary Making" by Akhilesh Verma (from Gravity Realm Entertainment). It was inspirational and interactive sessions for our students. It was a very interactive session where children learned the process of making a documentary. They understood production and also watched some films made by Akhilesh.

Industrial Visit to BLogic Software Pvt. Ltd on 20th October, 2023

BCA Department of DIHE, JIMS, Noida organized an Industrial Visit to Blogic Software Pvt. Ltd. on 20th October, 2023 for the first-year students of BCA batch 2023-26, wherein a total of 54 Students attended the visit to the Company. The visit was focussed on top diversions in Domain - Development & Infrastructure, CISCO networking solutions, how CISCO has been dominant in the manufacturing as well as learning market, how Certifications will help in salary hikes as well as recognitions in Industries, Cisco Certification Tracks, Salary structure of all the designations: Network Engineer, Network Administrator, System Engineer, IT engineer etc. The students were briefed on booming new technologies like IoT and Software-Defined Networking. They also visited a live network setup.

The students were left with a deeper understanding of learning and training, and importance of certifications. It was followed by a quiz where many students actively participated and won prizes. The students were accompanied by Dr. Manjeet Kaur Ratan, Associate Professor, DIHE.

BCA & BBA Students Achievement in Inter college Marketing Fest- "MARKFEST 2K23"

Students of BCA Department, DIHE, JIMS Noida participated in "INVENT 2023", inter- college IT Fest, organized by School of Computer Science, IMS Ghaziabad on 13th October, 2023 where they performed excellently well. JIMS Noida BBA Department had conducted an industrial visit to the Mother Dairy on 13th October, 2023 for the first year BBA students, wherein a total of 52 students attended the visit. The visit to their production unit was nothing short of fascinating. Dr. Palak Gupta, HOD, BCA gave the welcome address highlighting the relevance and need of data analytics in today’s corporate life for fast and effective data analysis, visualizations, summary reports and decision making. The session was taken by Mr. Sourav Kapil, Corporate Trainer, BLogic Software Pvt. Ltd. who shared insights of Data Science, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence along with their applications in diverse sectors. He used many case studies to correlate concepts of Data Analytics with industry applications. The session was highly appreciated by the students who got an excellent hands-on session on Python. Live sales data made the session even more interesting and lightened a spark in students to learn more about Data Analytics and various analytical tools.
